100th Episode Giveaway!

                                                                                                  TSEF 100th Episode Giveaway Terms & Conditions

For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions:

•  “TSEF” refers to The Strike and Ellacott Files Podcast. 
• “Prizes” refers to the two available prizes: 
  • Prize 1: one (1) 10th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of The Cuckoo’s Calling 
  • Prize 2: one (1) copy of The Rowling Library’s fan-made 10th Anniversary Special Edition of The Cuckoo’s Calling. 
• “Prize” refers to one of the two available prizes. 
• “Winner” refers to one of the two (2) randomly drawn winners who will each receive one (1) of the available Prizes.

By entering the 100th Episode Giveaway you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. 

All giveaway entries must be received by 23:59 PDT on March 15, 2024. One (1) winner will be selected at random by TSEF during the recording of the 100th episode of the podcast, to be released on April 4, 2024. Winners will be notified by email, and the names of winners will be announced on social media after the release of the podcast episode on April 4, 2024.

TESF reserves the right to change the date of the 100th episode’s release and the announcement of winners due to unforeseen circumstances. Any changes will be announced on the TSEF social media platforms including Instagram and Twitter.

The TSEF giveaway with entry via email is open globally to all podcast listeners. Two (2) winners will be chosen at random from all entrants. Shipping costs of the Prize will be paid by TSEF, but winners are liable for any custom duties that may be required by their country of residence to receive the shipment.

If a winner’s place of residence is located in a country or state where USPS mail regulations or the mail regulations of the winner’s place of residence prohibit delivery of the prize, TSEF will work with the winner to make reasonable accommodations for prize fulfilment, including delivery to an alternate address or local pickup at a future date. If a reasonable accommodation cannot be found, said winner will forfeit the Prize and TSEF reserves the right to draw another winner.

No purchase necessary. Winners will not be required to pay to enter the competition.

Entrants must be over 18 years old on the date of their entry.

Instagram and Twitter are not in any way affiliated or involved in the competition.

Only one entry per person per competition will be accepted.

To enter the giveaway, email TSEF at sefilespodcast@gmail.com with the subject line: “TSEF100“. Email entries must include the entrant’s favourite moment from the podcast, the entrant’s name and (if applicable) the entrant’s social media handle on Instagram and/or Twitter.

“Favourite moment from the podcast” is defined as a particularly memorable or enjoyable piece of content from any aired episode of The Strike and Ellacott Files Podcast. Favourite moments can include entrant’s personal reactions or circumstances surrounding listening to the podcast, but should reference a specific episode, discussion topic, or published outtake. Episodes of the podcast can be found on the TSEF website at https://thesefilespod.com/ and on podcasting platforms Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Google Podcasts.

Prizes will be awarded to two (2) randomly selected winners who have entered by email. Winners will be selected using a random number generator on air during podcast recording. The first winner drawn will receive Prize 1: one (1) 10th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of The Cuckoo’s Calling. The second winner drawn will receive Prize 2: one (1) copy of The Rowling Library’s fan-made 10th Anniversary Special Edition of The Cuckoo’s Calling. TSEF will not be held liable if the named prize becomes unavailable or cannot be fulfilled.

TSEF will not be held liable for any failure of receipt of entries. TSEF takes no responsibility for any entries which are lost, delayed, illegible, corrupted, damaged, incomplete or otherwise invalid.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, TSEF’s liability under or in connection with the competition or these terms and conditions shall be limited to the cost price of the Prize in question.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, TSEF shall not be liable under or in connection with these terms and conditions, the competition or any Prize for any indirect, special or consequential cost, expense, loss or damage suffered by a participant even if such cost, expense, loss or damage was reasonably foreseeable or might reasonably have been contemplated by the participant and the promoter and whether arising from breach of contract, tort, negligence, breach of statutory duty or otherwise.

Prizes are non-negotiable, non-transferable and non-refundable. No cash alternative is available. Where a Prize becomes unavailable for any reason, the promoter reserves the right to substitute that prize for a prize of equal or higher value.

The full name and mailing address of the winners must be provided to TSEF by email no later than four (4) weeks after winners have received notification via email, to allow for fulfilment of the Prize. 

TSEF will make every reasonable attempt to contact the winners by all available channels in the time frame allotted. In the case that the winner’s mailing information has not been received by four (4) weeks after notification, the entrant forfeits their prize and TSEF reserves the right to draw another winner.

In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond TSEF’s reasonable control, TSEF reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition or these terms and conditions, either in whole or in part, with or without notice.

TSEF’s decision is final. No correspondence  regarding the outcome of the contest, apart from collecting winner’s details and arranging delivery of the Prize, will be entered into.

The winner’s names and social media usernames will be posted on TSEF’s social media platforms including but not limited to Twitter, Instagram, and the TSEF blog after winners have been selected. By entering the giveaway, entrants give permission for the publication of their name and/or social media usernames should they win a Prize.
